Description: Jade is a quiet, easy going girl who knows that her true beauty shines through! A low-rider American Bully who weighs about 58lbs and is about 5 years of age, Jade enjoys the simple things in life: a soft bed, an easy stroll with lots of sniff breaks, and of course some good pets and scratches from her favorite people. She is built a bit more like a bulldog, so would like her new family to be familiar with the tips-and-tricks of bulldog ownership - mainly, that the can be pretty heat intolerant! For Jade, this means she loves to spend time outside as long as she has shade and water, and given that it isn't TOO hot. Her heat comfort zone may be less than other breeds, too. If you're looking for a medium energy, mature lady to join your home, Jade is the one you're looking for.

1) Jade may do great as a first time dog for someone who is committed to the needs of her breed(s)! She would likely thrive in a household that has experience with Bulldogs, American Bullies, or similar breeds.

2) Jade has been dog neutral here at the shelter. She likely won't appreciate dogs who are too "in her face", and may do great with a low-key male dog of similar size in the home. She may not enjoy being around high energy and/or small dogs.

3) We don't know how Jade will be with cats or other small animals, so be sure to discuss proper and slow introductions with your adoption counselor to ensure that Jade and any resident small animals can be great housemates!

4) Due to her size (she sometimes forgets how strong she is despite her short stature), Jade may do best with any children in the home being at least 9 years of age or older.
